Psicothema was founded in Asturias (northern Spain) in 1989, and is published jointly by the Psychology Faculty of the University of Oviedo and the Psychological Association of the Principality of Asturias (Colegio Oficial de Psicología del Principado de Asturias).
We currently publish four issues per year, which accounts for some 100 articles annually. We admit work from both the basic and applied research fields, and from all areas of Psychology, all manuscripts being anonymously reviewed prior to publication.

El objetivo del presente trabajo consiste en ofrecer una revisión del concepto emergente de la Psicología de la Salud Ocupacional Positiva (PSOP). Se analiza la utilidad de centrar la atención en conceptos positivos para comprender la salud y el bienestar en el trabajo. Se describen los hallazgos empíricos en diversas temáticas positivas en las organizaciones, incluyendo el engagement, el capital psicológico y el job crafting. Además, se revisan las primeras intervenciones positivas en este ámbito, identificando algunas preguntas para la investigación futura.
The emergence of positive occupational health psychology. The aim of this paper is to provide an overview of the emerging concept of Positive Occupational Health Psychology (POHP). We discuss the usefulness of focusing on positive constructs in order to understand the path to health and well-being at work. We describe research findings on several POHP topics, including engagement, psychological capital, and job crafting. Additionally, we review the first positive interventions in this field and conclude by identifying some specific questions for future research.
